Can You Believe? Everything to Know About 'Queer Eye' Season 7

Grab the tissues! Netflix’s Fab Five are bringing their talents to a new city for season 7 of Queer Eye. Antoni Porowski, Karamo Brown, Jonathan Van Ness, Bobby Berk and Tan France began helping everyday people change their lives in 2018 when the reality TV revival first hit Netflix. The quintet filmed the first two seasons in Georgia, exploring Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Texas in later installments. The streaming service officially announced the location for season 7 in June 2022, giving fans a glimpse of the show’s stars on set in New Orleans. “The Fab Five have only just arrived to The Big Easy and are excited to join the party in this amazing city,” a statement read. “Get ready for new adventures and more tears real soon.” Van Ness celebrated the return of the series in an Instagram post, gushing, “Reunited with my favorite phone stealers I mean fashion, design, culture & food experts!! So excited to meet new heroes, explore New Orleans, and create new memories with our @queereye crew .” The “Getting Curious” podcast host is in charge of hairstyling duties on Queer Eye, with Porowski sharing his culinary skills with the show’s contestants. France helps on the fashion front, while Berk works his interior design magic. Karamo, for his part, helps individuals open up and embrace their cultures. When asked what makes the series so successful, Van Ness told Parade in January 2022, “I think that when a diverse group of people get together, and the fact that we just love each other a lot, that helps so that it continues to be a rich story. When we’re all being vulnerable and honest about the things we’re going through, I think that’s a really important part of the show — the bravery, the honesty, the authenticity that our heroes bring to these stories. They’re showing their whole lives and that is such a vulnerable experience.” Queer Eye was inspired by the early 2000s series Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, which aired on Bravo with Ted Allen, Kyan Douglas, Thom Filicia, Carson Kressley and Jai Rodriguez. While the modern version has grown in its popularity with each season, the OG stars are still proud of the impact they made. “People watched as a family. Young people could have discussions and say, ‘Oh, what is gay?’ [or] ‘Oh, I didn’t know any gay people before I saw them on the show,’ and ‘Of course they should have the same rights as us, of course they should be able to get married or adopt,'” Kressley exclusively told Us while celebrating Pride Month in 2022. “It wound up being way more powerful than we realized, but the power is really just in being yourself and being your authentic person and showing other people out there that it’s OK to be exactly who you are.” Scroll down for everything to know so far about Queer Eye season 7:

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Ex-Wife Maria Shriver's Relationship Timeline

For nearly 25 years, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver were a Hollywood and political power couple. The Terminator star and the journalist tied the knot in April 1986, nearly nine years after they first met at a tennis tournament. After welcoming four children together, the pair announced their split in May 2011 amid reports of infidelity. (Schwarzenegger eventually admitted that he fathered son Joseph Baena with the family’s former housekeeper, Mildred “Patty” Baena, while he was still married to the Illinois native.) “I had personal setbacks, but this was, without any doubt, the biggest setback and the biggest failure,” the former governor of California told Howard Stern on his SiriusXM radio show in June 2015. “Without any doubt. Not only failure, but you feel like, ‘I’m to blame for it. It was me that screwed up.’ And you can’t point the finger at anyone else. So yeah, I was disappointed in it. It’s always easy to be smart in hindsight. The thing was how do you make the best of that situation?” He continued: “[Going to couple’s therapy] was the biggest mistake I’ve ever made. That guy was so full of s—t. He said more crap and more nonsense. It was absolutely counterproductive to our future relationship. … Maria talked me into it. I went, and I felt instinctively maybe I shouldn’t go because I know I screwed up. I don’t have to go through anyone to have to explain to me anything. I apologized to Maria. I apologized to the kids.” Following their split, the Austria native has continued to praise his former spouse as a coparent as they jointly raised children Katherine Schwarzenegger, Christina Schwarzenegger, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Christopher Schwarzenegger. “Luckily, Maria has been a terrific mother,” the Jingle All the Way star previously told Extra in 2012. “We work together even though we’re going through a divorce. … We make sure that the kids grow up to be really good human beings.” Us Weekly confirmed in December 2021 that the pair’s divorce paperwork was finalized after 10 years. “I grew up in a very strict Catholic household, and I was raised with a judgmental God, and I don’t believe in that anymore,” Shriver previously told Access Hollywood in March 2018 about how her divorce shifted her perspective. “I believe all religion is based in love, and the less judgmental we are across our life, the better we are.” The now-exes eventually reached a settlement in their divorce in June 2022 when Shriver was awarded half of the actor’s retirement accounts per a court filing at the time. Gloria Estefan and More Celebrities Who Turned Down Super Bowl Appearances

Hard pass. Though many musicians would jump at the chance to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, Gloria Estefan just couldn’t be bothered to deal with all of the preparation involved. “I didn’t want to go on a diet in December,” the “Get On Your Feet” singer joked during a June 2022 appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen after confirming that she turned down the chance to perform with Jennifer Lopez and Shakira two years earlier. Estefan’s comments came shortly after the “Lets Get Loud” singer made headlines by expressing her frustration at co-headlining the event in the Netflix documentary, Halftime. “We have six f—king minutes. We have 30 seconds of a song, and if we take a minute, that’s it, we’ve got five left. But there’s got to be certain songs that we sing, though. We have to have our singing moments. It’s not going to be a dance f—king revue,” Lopez said in the film. “We have to sing our message. … This is the worst idea in the world to have two people do the Super Bowl. It was the worst idea in the world.” On WWHL, Estefan explained that she understood why the NFL decided to ask both singers to perform at the big game. “Look, this is the bottom line. You have very little time, like 12 minutes or something, to get things on and off the set,” she said at the time. “So, could you do it with one person? Yes, but I think they wanted to throw a Miami and Latin extravaganza and they tried to pack it as much as possible.” The Grammy winner continued: “OK, and imagine what J.Lo would have said if I was the third [performer]! I literally would come out, done ‘Shake Your Body’ [and ‘Conga’] and out. It was their moment.” Estefan is far from the first performer to speak out about skipping the ceremony. In February 2020, Jay Z revealed that he had previously been asked to perform at the halftime show — provided that he include “Run This Town” in his set and invite both Kanye West and Rihanna onstage with him. “Of course I would have [asked them],” he told The New York Times at the time, “but I said, ‘No, you get me.’ That is not how you go about it, telling someone that they’re going to do the halftime show contingent on who they bring. I said forget it. It was a principle thing.” He continued: “The problem with the N.F.L. is [they] all think hip-hop is still a fad when hip-hop has been the dominant music form around the world for 20 years.” Even after he was brought on by the league to be the official Live Music Entertainment Strategist in 2019, Jay Z has continued to call out the NFL for the way they approach the Halftime Show. “We love each other. Like, not secretly, like publicly, we love each other,” Snoop Dogg, who performed in February 2022 alongside Dr. Dre, said in a March interview with Tidal, revealing that the “99 Problems” rapper stepped in when censors threatened the planned show. “For him to go to bat for us and tell the NFL, ‘F–k that. They perform or I quit,’ that was the most gangster s–t out of everything.” Keep scrolling to see more stars who have turned down the Super Bowl:

'Freaks and Geeks' Cast: Where Are They Now?

“Freaks go all the way.” Though it only lasted for one season, Freaks and Geeks quickly became a cult favorite — and kicked off the careers of some of Hollywood’s biggest stars. The teen comedy was developed by Judd Apatow and Paul Feig, and premiered on NBC during the fall of 1999. Set in a 1980s Detroit suburb, the series follows teenager Lindsay Weir (Linda Cardellini), who falls into a crowd of slacker “freaks,” and her brother Sam (John Francis Daley), who attempts to navigate the ins and outs of high school with his “geek” friends. “We did our infamous two weeks with the writers locking ourselves in a room and telling personal stories. I wrote a list of questions for everybody to answer: ‘What was the best thing that happened to you in high school? What was the worst thing that happened to you in high school? Who were you in love with and why?'” Feig recalled during a 2014 interview with Vanity Fair, describing the writing process for the acclaimed series. “That’s where most of our stories came from. Weirder stuff happens to people in real life than it does on TV. It was a personal show for me and I wanted it to be personal for everybody else.” Despite its early cancelation, the NBC comedy received three Emmy nominations, was featured as one of Time magazine’s “100 Greatest Shows of All Time” in 2007 and left behind a legacy like no other. To this day, Cardellini remembers exactly what drew her to her character, Lindsay. “Here’s this girl who desperately wants to be away from her parents and what they know her as, but at the same time truly does not want to disappoint or rebel against them and really loves them,” she told Vanity Fair in 2014. “It was a more interesting approach than all the other teenagers I was reading, who just hated their parents.” While Apatow and Feig both went on to have highly successful careers behind the camera, and often continued working with some of the Freaks and Geeks stars, they’ve each kept a special place in their hearts for the short-lived show. “Even to this day, I think I didn’t want to admit that Freaks and Geeks was cancelled,” Apatow teased during a March 2014 talk at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills. “Everything I’ve done, in a way, is revenge for the people who cancelled Freaks and Geeks.” Scroll down to learn more about where the cast of the one-season series is today.

Manufacturers struggle to keep pace with vinyl record demand

The arrival of the compact disc nearly killed off record albums, with vinyl pressing machines sold, scrapped and dismantled by major record labels. Dozens of record-pressing factories have been built to try to meet demand in North America — and...

Who Is Hallmark’s Ryan Paevey? 5 Things About ‘Two Tickets to Paradise’ Star

A man of many talents! Ryan Paevey has been starring in Hallmark movies since 2015 — and his newest movie, Two Tickets to Paradise, is a rom-com fans won’t want to miss. Hallmark Channel viewers first met the 37-year-old actor as Donovan Darcy in the Unleashing Mr. Darcy movie franchise. He has since starred in a variety of holiday films for the network, but Two Tickets to Paradise, which premieres on Saturday, June 25, combined a few of the actor’s loves. “We got to surf on the westside of the island. We got on a boat and boated to this other place. It was super fun,” Paevey recalled during a June Q&A with his costar Ashley Williams. “I grew up surfing with my dad so it’s something that I’ve liked to do for forever.” The Matching Hearts actor, who inked a multi-picture deal in May with Crown Media Family Networks, gushed over the experience. He remembered thinking, “I can’t believe this is my life right now.” Paevey added: “I had to call my dad. That was amazing. That was super fun.” In the summertime movie, which takes place in Hawaii, Paevey’s character, Josh Wyatt, meets Williams’ Hannah Holt shortly after they are both left at the altar. The twosome eventually decide to go on their honeymoons together after crossing paths at the airport — and find themselves falling for each other. “Josh’s character has a real flair for adventure,” Williams revealed during a behind-the-scenes interview shared by Hallmark in early June. “He doesn’t need a stuntman. He is the stuntman.” Paevey chimed in, “I do all of the surfing for Josh because I surf. I love surfing.” The A Timeless Christmas actor’s passion for adventure is something that has been part of his life for years. In fact, he created the company, Fortunate Wanderer, to share his excursions with others, including his travels with Hallmark. “I like to share my adventures. These road trips have instilled in me a great love of photography,” Paevey said during a September 2016 appearance on Home & Family, revealing that he also makes jewelry on the road. “I bring stuff with me … and I make stuff. If I happen to be someplace where there are things that are fascinating, I collect them and I bring them back. And I make them into things.” He concluded: “It started with the photography. I do some events for the show. I make everything myself. I take all the pictures myself.” Scroll down to learn more about Paevey:
